Tl;Dr: I helped a friend sell a bike, it was nice
I ran into Marty, a few months ago. Marty was the helpful person at a local store – competent, friendly, and overall really nice. Over the years we’ve talked bikes. When I saw him last summer he mentioned he was trying to sell an unused electric bike but wasn’t having much luck. I said I’d be glad to lend a hand by listing it locally.
Welp, I did and months went by with basically no interest. There is basically no cost to keeping the listing, so I said let’s just keep it posted and see what happens.
Today it sold – hassle free, to a charming couple who seemed like they’d really appreciate it.
I’m feeling pretty happy to have helped my friend and these strangers all get what they needed. If you’re reading this, future self, reminder: patience and persistence paid off in making a good thing happen.
And while we’re on the topic of good things:
- I made a yummy dinner
- An issue at work is _finally_ resolved, 60 days after it started (it should have been resolved in 3 days)
- I met with the PNA woodworking folks for volunteering
Overall: really good day!
